Q) Who are the good candidates for medical tourism?

Patients with little or no insurance, high deductible and those not eligible for welfare. Typically Self employed people represent a major group. Also patients who are seeking to obtain non covered procedures like cosmetic surgery, fertility treatments and other life changing surgeries that the insurance companies refuse to cover under the guise of experimental or pre existing clauses.

Q) is it right to seek medical care in other country?

Well... It depends on your view point. Being disabled and getting frustrated with the system doesn’t do any good to the country. Being healthy increases your productivity and quality of life and you can contribute your best to the society. That is patriotic.

Q) How is your company different from other medical tourism companies anyway?

Good Question. We are made of American health care professionals- Not just opportunistic business people. We know exactly what patients are going through and what they expect. Q) I am still nervous about the quality of care in a foreign country!!

We agree. That is the reason we only deal with JCI accredited Hospitals. (The highest marker of quality) .In general these hospitals employ doctors that are board certified in US or UK. Chances are that these doctors might have worked close to you in their past. These hospitals have dedicated international pavilions and the staff is well experienced in taking care of American and European patients. Patient to staff ratio is much better than in American Hospitals. You have better access to your doctor. Your doctor will take time to answer your questions and address your needs. Food is a lot better and the hospitals feel more like 5 star Hotels. You will be attended by Registered Nurses – not by LPNs or CNAs. In general, the quality of care in these hospitals surpasses that of American hospitals and a lot better than other medical tourism destinations.

Q) Are the doctors qualified enough to operate on me?

Absolutely! That is one of the pre requisites for being JCI accredited hospital. Most of these doctors have their training in US or Europe. They are some of the best in their fields. In general, Indian doctors are very good at what they do. There is a reason why they are reputed throughout the world. They usually have more practical experience and utilize state of the art equipment. They utilize the best available technology from America and Europe. You will have an opportunity to speak to your doctor before making your decision.

Q) Why is it cheaper to get surgery in India?

The wages are low. The Mal practice insurances are low. That means the hospitals can pass on the savings to you. This is usually in the range of 70-80%.

Q) Can I go alone for surgery overseas?

Yes. You can. But we recommend you to have a companion if you are in a position to afford it. It might cost you about 2 K more, but it will be a lot more enjoyable and chances are that you can also turn it into an exotic vacation.

Q) But how about Safety?

As fellow Americans, we understand and appreciate the concern. That is precisely the reason; we are focusing on southern and western India, because this area is generally serene with many western immigrants. People in general dominate the science and technology fields with fluency in English. This is one of the most anti-fundamentalist regions in the world. People go out of their way to help you out. I t is not have just business. It is culture out here.

Q) I never travelled overseas. Is it a problem?

Most of the patients never travelled overseas. It might be intimidating at first. We will facilitate you through every step of the way. We can help you with the paperwork to obtain visa. Then we can arrange you to send your medical records to your doctor and arrange a phone consult. Then we can coordinate your flight tickets and hotel stay in line with your procedure and expected recovery dates. You will be provided with a cell phone if you prefer. We will monitor your progress and guide you every step of the way.

Q) Is there anything else worth knowing?

The dental and ophthalmic care is dirt cheap in India. You can also get some long-term prescription medications, while you are there. They are very cheap and would save you some money.

During your stay, we encourage you to take time to explore some tourist attractions. The tourism is not very expensive and is worth every penny.
